Taking our mission to Mexico

WHO CAN SERVE
No skills or experience are needed, just an eager and teachable spirit! We will bring talented team leaders with us who will teach any skills needed. Trips to Reynosa are good for kids about age 12 and older (with a parent).
WHO WE SUPPORT
Cornerstone is teaming up with long-term ministry partner - Rio Bravo and recently added ministry partner Kaleo International ministry. Rio Bravo takes in abandoned, neglected or abused children in Reynosa, Mexico, and provides them with food, housing and a faith-based education. At any given moment, 60 children live on-campus being served by house parents that care for them. Additionally, Rio Bravo has built multiple schools from elementary through high school to serve not only children on-site, but the Reynosa community at large.
Kaleo Ministry has been strategically placed by the Lord near what is known as tent city and has been implemental in giving refuge to primarily Haitian and South American families who are pursuing legal entrance into the United States. Kaleo has a number of projects that they need assistance with as they supply a safe, faith based refuge for these families while they provide for not only the physical needs for these refugees but more importantly their Spiritual needs.
In past years, Cornerstone has built schools and expanded churches to support the local Reynosa community, with projects including framing, drywall, painting, landscaping, electrical work, and much more.
WHERE WE STAY
Our team stays on the campus of our Mission Partner, Rio Bravo Ministries. It is a gated and walled community that houses their Children’s Home and Christian School. Our team sleeps in dorm-style rooms with bunk beds that have private bathrooms, running water, showers, lights, fans, and air conditioning.
