Work Day Report: Red Oak Hope

Below is an update on our unbelievable day at Red Oak Hope last Saturday.

To all Servant Leader Warriors! We thank those who participated this Saturday, March 13th. We look forward to many weekends ahead in similar missions.

I remain in awe, thinking of all that we accomplished this past Saturday.  The work, light, and servantry of an unparalleled team of Christ Followers, united in one location, with three missions in mind, came fully together; Love God, Love People and Serve.  Thank you for answering your call and being doers, and not just hearers of the word!  I remain deeply inspired and convicted that Cornerstone Restoration is on a spectacular journey because of the engine behind the success, you, the volunteers.

Twenty-three women & men united forces to play in the mud this Saturday. It was a beautiful day that the Lord made for us, to serve as His hands and feet.  Five teams were established to tackle exceptionally large projects.  After our prayer, instantaneously, all teams went to work with a focus on the project at hand. Fellow Christians that had never previously met, were instantly engaged with one another and immediately constructed game plans for accomplishing the mission at hand.  It was amazing to see teamwork naturally take place, in stride with His plan.

We safely dismantled a chicken coop and removed seven enormous trees, requiring strategic prep work as well as working around AT&T wires. Additionally, we removed damaged fencing, trimmed, and removed overgrown plants.  A 30-yard dumpster was filled in no time.  This effort was amazing to say the least, and not one band-aid was administered!

It was an honor and a privilege to serve alongside such loving, caring, and hardworking servant leaders!  My sincere thanks and gratitude goes out to all who answered God’s call to gather within a community that will always need assistance.  I truly look forward to serving alongside you all again in the very-near future.

In HIS Service,

Paul V. Rudzitis, Executive Director
