Introducing our new Executive Director

A note from Brian Albrecht, our new Executive Director

I can’t tell you how excited I am to be a part of Cornerstone. From the get-go I have been impressed by its philosophy, its people, and its enormous possibility for Kingdom expansion. My first time on a work site, at Ms. Perri’s house, I was totally surprised by the amount of dedicated volunteers that knew that their physical labor directly translated into life-change for this neighbor. I observed volunteers living out their giftedness and get-it-done attitude to tangibly represent Christ to this neighbor, to be His hands and feet, to be His church to the community. I observed this same passion in Cornerstone’s staff, its board, and its founding church, Austin Ridge.

And, I wanted to be a part of it…I look forward to partnering with all of you as we serve our Lord together, truly bringing His good news in tangible and innovative ways to a world that needs to know Him.

For Christ,

Brian Albrecht

Brian moved to Austin from Memphis, where he served at Hope Church Memphis over the past 19 years, providing senior and executive-level leadership to talented, dedicated, and determined teams of professionals across a wide spectrum of business operations. More than that, Brian aspires to grow daily in his relationship with God by learning how to serve Him in greater ways and by learning how to love the circle of people God has placed in his story. He loves his family – laughing a lot with his wife Kathy, watching anything Star Wars with his son Pierce, and attempting to outsmart his daughter Christiana (an impossible task).

A note from Paul...

Tears come to my eyes as I think over all that God has done and grown in Cornerstone Restoration since its inception a year and a half ago. By God’s kindness, it quickly became evident that Cornerstone was growing at a pace far quicker than the Board and I envisioned, and we recognized that this growth called for an expansion of our staff and skill sets.

As we began our search for a new Executive Director, we sought someone with both executive leadership skills to scale the organization but also pastoral leadership to spearhead our efforts to care holistically for those we serve - to hear their stories and care for their hearts beyond fixing their fences.

Brian brings this exact combination of skills to Cornerstone, and we’re humbled and grateful for this answered prayer.

Brian will manage the organizational-wide administrative stuff that drove me crazy so I can continue to play with power tools, make regular shopping trips to my favorite store (Home Depot), form strategic relationships with donors and vendors, invest in our volunteers, and oversee Serve Days where all those things come together.

We’re excited for the future - to see what the expansion of God’s Kingdom will look like in this little corner He’s entrusted to us.

In His Service,

Paul Rudzitis

Chief Operating Officer
