Serve Trip: Reynosa April 2022
What do you get when you add over 3,318 wood cuts + 6 destroyed saw blades + 220 linear feet of walls and 39 trusses built by 28 smiling volunteers? You get April’s Serve Trip to Reynosa!
Once again, Cornerstone delivered on its promise to serve the under-resourced by showing Christ’s love to the people of Reynosa, Mexico. We built a second story room (framed walls and trusses) for Mt. Moriah Church to be able to grow and serve the rural community nearby. A huge shoutout to our hard-working team of volunteers who embraced the rules of Reynosa in being flexible, being flexible, and being flexible with a smile! They put in a hard day’s work for 5 days, exercised team-work, learned new skills, and got an incredible amount accomplished.
The physical structure we built is not just a building, but a place that will have long-lasting impact on the surrounding neighborhood, making space for people to know Jesus and build community within the local church. Check out what was accomplished in the pictures above.
Here’s the deal - if you haven’t been to Reynosa, you need to come. The next trip is September 22-25, so consider this your “Save the Date!” Seriously - mark your calendar now for this next life-giving trip.
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others. In your relationships with one another, have this same mindset as Christ Jesus…” Philippians 2:3-5
That’s the way our team in Reynosa worked! Join us for the September trip where we will continue this great work. You might find that the life that’s changed the most…is yours!
